The soft and economic skin suture
As a monofilament suture, Dafilon® promotes fewer infections [1-4] than comparable braided sutures. In veterinary practices and clinics, Dafilon® is particularly popular for skin sutures. Dafilon® is characterised by its good handling and cost-effectiveness.

Properties and features
|Chemical composition:||Polyamide 6/6.6|
|Diameter:||USP 11/0 - USP 5|
|Colour:||blue, black, undyed|
|Knot tensile strength retention:||non-absorbable|
The monofilament advantage
Dafilon® is a non-absorbable synthetic monofilament suture made of polymers polyamide 6/6.6 (dyed blue), polyamide 6.6 (dyed black) or polyamide 6 (undyed).
Simple knot pull tensile strength [6-7]
The benefits of Dafilon®
The precision extrusion production process gives Dafilon® its properties:
- Higher tensile strength compared to the market standards [5-6]
- Appropriate flexibility for easy handling and tissue adaptation for USP 2/0 - 6/0
